Do you need a new car extended warranty? |

| Do you really need to purchase that expensive new car extended warranty the auto salesman is pushing you to buy? Probably not with a couple exceptions. First exception is if you plan on keeping the car for many years and driving many miles. If this is the case then the new car extended warranty is a good idea. The other exception is if you are buying a new car from a company with a less than stellar reputation for producing reliable cars. If you buy one of these brand's then the new car extended warranty is a good idea. Now, if you are purchasing a new automobile from a auto producer with a very good standard new car warranty and is a brand that has a reputation of producing reliable cars you really do not need to pay the extra expense for a new car extended warranty. Regular maintenance will keep this higher quality car running fine for many years. Almost forgot this one! If you are going to be using the new car purchase as a company or fleet use vehicle then the purchase of the new car extended warranty would be worth the added expense. |
